1st Line IT Support Engineer - Oxfordshire - £25,000 - £27,000

Role: 1 Line IT Support Engineer

Field: IT/IT Support/IT Management/IT Infrastructure/Network Security

Working hours: Monday - Thursday (09:00 - 17:30), Friday (09:00 - 16:30)

Location of Work: Milton Park/Oxfordshire is the main site but may need to travel to meet client needs

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000

This is an exciting opportunity for a 1st Line IT Support Engineer to join a leading IT Consultancy with scope to learn and develop further.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that client processes for on-boarding users, off-boarding users, backups, endpoint protection are all followed, and any issues are flagged for attention and remediation
  • Network Security: user profile / security access management (Windows AD)
  • Solving user problems /answering calls and logging tickets
  • New user & application setups (Laptops and PC`s)
  • Day-to-day user / systems support (printer installs, etc
  • Providing in-house technical support to company's office employees
  • Workstation troubleshooting
  • Training & answering queries (re: MS Office based apps)
  • Escalation of client requests (systems development & sales) to consultants/account managers
  • Occasional on-site support / delivery of goods & services to clients, site auditing & fact-finding visit

Requirements:

  • Experience with Windows 10 Desktop environments, Windows Server, Microsoft Office 365 and Active directory
  • IT Is essential that someone is flexible as some occasional national travel might be needed
  • Driving licence required - company vehicle for site visits
  • Technical skills and experience across; MS Windows, MS Office, Citrix, VPN, Firewall, Anti-virus software, Adobe, Email, PC, Printer, LAN, Networking/WIFI, Active Directory, Mobile Devices, Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Proven experience of logging work time in a ticketing system
