3rd Tier Engineer

Bridgend

Full time - permanent role

£35,000 - 42,000 pa dependant on experience

An exciting opportunity to join a revamped department with an emphasis on maintaining optimal service levels, whilst adhering to published SLAs and offering industry-leading support to clients in England and Wales.

To be considered for this role, you must hold the below qualities and experience.

Experience of:

  • HP servers - SANs and server clusters, VMWare and Hyper-V
  • Office 365 (SharePoint, Exchange)
  • HP managed switches
  • VOIP services
  • FTTC/Leased Line broadband technologies, including MPLS connectivity
  • Sophos XG firewalls
  • Enterprise level backup solutions - VEEAM, Datto, Acronis
  • Sophos Central managed anti-virus

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 MCSA certificate
  • 5+ years' experience at 3rd Tier
  • Experience of working on a busy Managed Service Desk, dealing with SMEs and multi-site organisations
  • An understanding of service SLAs

Training and development:

The client provides a fantastic training plan:

  • Fully funded instructor-led MCSE courses and examinations (onsite at London or Bristol, with all expenses paid)
  • The successful candidate will be expected to work towards the following certifications:
    • MCSE: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • MCSE: 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert
    • MCSE: Core Infrastructure

  • Vendor specific product training will also be provided (Gamma, Sophos etc.)
