Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00
Friday 08:30 - 16:00

Main Duties:
- Complete Asset Handling: Registers/Disposals/Depreciation/Inventory/Assets under construction/Decision-making/Budgeting
- Assist with the management of credit and debit functions for the company, including complex invoice processing
- Accruals and Prepayments
- Supplier invoice payments - Leasing/Utilities/Petty Cash/Overheads
- Checking company credit card postings for GL coding and VAT coding errors
- Assist in developing and maintaining procedures and practices to comply with statutory and company requirements.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and year end processes, statistics, budgets
- Production of timely and accurate reports as requested by management team
- Provide additional support to the AP team, Financial Controller and Assistant Financial Controller where required
- Management may, from time to time, require you to carry out tasks in addition to your normal duties, provided these tasks are both reasonable and within your capabilities
Relevant Skills:
- Forecasting and analytical skills
- Accurate figure work
- IT Skills including MS Office, Word, and Excel: Excel to at least intermediate standard
- Able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
The nature of the role means we are looking for someone who is confident and has excellent interpersonal skills. Working within a small team environment the ideal candidate will be IT literate and ideally possess the following attributes:
- GCSE Maths and English Grades A-C or equivalent
- AAT Accounting qualification - or studying towards the qualification or QBE
- Finance/Accountancy work experience
- Experience of creating and maintaining advanced spreadsheets
- The ability to produce monthly accounts
- Experience of dealing with accruals and prepayments
- Experience of VAT procedures and returns
- A working Knowledge of SAP (FI Module in particular)
- Experience of working within a SME
- Experience of working within the private sector
- Experience of Assets Management
