Job Description

Purpose of the Role
This is a development role reporting to the Procurement Manager providing administration support to the Procurement Department. Ordering plant and materials as per job requisitions, checking invoices and keeping the department records and database up to date,

No Procurement experience is required as full training will be provided.

On Completion of Training Key Responsibilities will be;
Placing supplier orders and managing delivery process
Process all order documentation and update the database and records
Identify and record cost saving opportunities and make cost saving recommendations
Keep, check and maintain accurate records
Manage live hire reports
Record & Track all new requistions
Process collection tickets onto Construct for GRN purposes
Assist with supplier invoices
Data entry and day to day filing
Handling incoming and outgoing supplier telephone calls
Handling and following up calls and queries from site based staff
Reporting of any major Issues to Department Manager or Quantitity Surveyor
Proactive weekly call to all sites, to understand any requirements for forthcoming week
Tasks will be allocated to reflect increasing levels of development and experience.
Academic Qualifications
At least 3 GCSEs with a preference for English & Maths (A-C Grade)

Essential Skills and Experience
Attention to detail
Good communication skills
Excellent telephone manner
Well organised and able to manage time effectively
Introductory level IT Skills
The ability to work in a team and independently
Full valid driving licence
A willingness to attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills

Desirable Skills and Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or similar (or working towards this)
