Job Description

Vibe Recruit are looking for a Business Analyst with a strong data/ IT background for our well-known NHS client, based near Caerphilly.

This role is a Band 7 and will be full time, with hybrid working available.

Key Duties

  • Create an inventory of:
    1. The applications which generate, operate, consume, process, store and archive data.
    2. All the data items.
    3. All data outputs
    4. Infrastructure / Systems
    5. Data items and data sources that stakeholders want but do not have.
  • Discover and catalogue key data flows across the organisation.
  • Identification of data ownership and data stewardship.
  • Consider and make recommendation around where data standards need to be set.
  • Create a data map and interactive tool that shows data relationships.

Requirements and Key Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Prince2 training or equivalent experience.
  • Expert at facilitating discussions with business subject matter experts (SME)
  • Have advanced communication skills and proven experience of working collaboratively with cross functional teams to surface data components within business processes
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Data Governance principles and Data Management techniques (including data mapping and data lineage) with experience of documenting outputs
  • Experience gathering and analysing system requirements
  • Extensive experience in data, including research and analysing processes.
  • Experience in project management
  • In-depth understanding of database structure principles
  • Experience in designing data models
  • Skills with presentation platforms, data management in spreadsheets and report creation.
  • An ability to understand and extract data attributes from business processes.
  • Ability to work autonomously to tight deadlines, managing competing priorities accordingly.
  • Ability to speak Welsh (desirable).
  • Experience of working in health care (desirable).

Weekly pay, every Friday, a week in arrears.
