CAD Estimator - Based in Cwmbran - Permanent Role

Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum plus package including Private Pension, Healthcare and Bonus

VibeRecruit is working on behalf of a leading multinational engineering product manufacturer who specialise in design & construction of bespoke steel structures, plating and other related products widely utilized across the civils, infrastructure and construction sectors.

The company is going through a period of expansion and are seeking an Estimator with extensive CAD design experience to join their existing team based in Cwmbran.

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in Engineering or a similar construction related trade, experienced in estimating & costing and possess a comprehensive design portfolio using AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D desirable).

Commercial work or post-academic experience will be considered - ideally concrete or structural design work preferred.

The role will include the following key duties:

• Reviewing engineering drawings & client specifications
• Assisting with structural engineering designs
• Generating structural engineering calculations for a range of infrastructure projects including concrete & buried steel structures (including bridges, tunnels, culverts and underpasses)

This role will not be restricted to design. The successful candidate will be assisting throughout all project phases (i.e. full lifecycle - tender to completion). These include preparing & submitting client quotations, liaising with clients throughout and working with the wider project team.
