Coating Operator

As a Coating Operator, you will work with surface technology products and services ranging from coating services; coating and application development; specialist coating sealing technologies; complete manufacture, through to the supply of coating materials and technology transfer.

As a Coating Operator you will:

• Prepare customer product for spraying including cleaning, masking, and blasting.
• Operate semi-automatic equipment using predetermined programmes.
• Spray customer product.
• Maintain required control of jigging / fixtures to ensure readily available and placed in correct designated area.
• Monitor and maintain section consumables.
• Monitor stock control of powder and ensure stored in neat and tidy manner.
• Ensure machines / spray booths are operated according to site and manufacturers recommendations.
• Follow company health & safety procedures and disciplines.

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:

• Experience working in an engineering environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Attention to detail, energy, enthusiasm, and a 'can-do' attitude.
• Thermal spraying experience desirable but not essential as on the job training will be provided.

• £23,700 plus 20% shift allowance.
• Pension match contribution from 4% - 10%.

• Hours are rotating weekly, either - Early: 06:00-14:00 Mon-Thu & 06:00-13:00 Fri or Late: 14:00-22:30 Mon-Thu & 13:00-18:00 Fri.
