Job Description

Vibe Recruit are currently looking a community Support Officer for their client based in Oxford.

This is a temporary assignment, with the likely duration of 3-5 months.

Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, at £14.05 per hour.

Our client is looking for individuals with the enthusiasm, creativity and resilience to provide support to the most vulnerable people in Oxford given the impact of COVID-19.

This role will require you to complete activities such as, dealing with welfare checks, resident support referrals, purchasing and delivering items to residents, and being a practical support for the hub team.

You will take a case management approach to supporting residents, always looking to see if can help them find the support for any broader needs.

 

A key part of the role is to support the health system to effectively and safely delivery the vaccine boost programme, through support at pop up clinics, marshaling queues and providing logistical help where needed.


Working as part of the hub team in an inter-connected way with the community and voluntary sector to meet their ongoing activism needs and mobilise volunteers where they exist all with reducing inequalities in mind.

 

You will be able to travel around the city and be located across multiple sites in Oxford, depending on the demand.

Essential attributes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience in customer service
  • A good understanding of GDPR
  • Full UK driving licence and geographical knowledge of Oxford
  • Experience of prioritising workload with minimal supervision
