If so, we want to hear from you. We are currently recruiting for a European Transport Manager to join a thriving family business with a large, national presence. Be an inportant part of a friendly team! The company in question is experiencing an extended period of growth as a result of continued success.

Supervising a team of four, as European Transport Manager you will:

- Manage the day-to-day planning and running of the fleet ( 12 - 15 trucks )

- Ensure all movements are completed to the customer's satisfaction

- Minimising journey cost and overall delivery costs

- Deal with all hauliers in respect of allocating work for delivery and collection

- Utilise computerised systems to input jobs for company's customers

- Understand driver compliance and tachograph legislation

- Liaise with the Workshop Manager with reference to breakdowns and vehicle maintenance schedules.

- Manage and check haulier documents and licences to ensure they meet the company's policies.

- Display a strong understanding of logistics processes in particular shipping/freight forwarding industry
