External Sales Representative

An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated sales professional to join the newest merchant venture in Llantrisant. This is a full-time, permanent position.

About Us

Founded over 80 years ago, it's the largest and leading independent builders' merchant in South Wales. Over 15 merchant branches, Plumbing Centres, Kitchen & Bathroom showrooms, a specialist Civils business, a dedicated Roofing merchant, a Home & Garden Centre and a timber and roof truss supplier and manufacturer, spanning the whole of South Wales. They supply the most comprehensive range of building materials to the construction, DIY and engineering industry. They pride ourselves on being a one-stop-shop for all building needs.

The Role

This external based role will allow you to build productive and profitable relationships between existing customers within the surrounding areas whilst identifying and growing new business opportunities. You will report to the Branch Manager for daily relations and the Sales Manager for sales queries. Your responsibilities will include passing sales enquiries to your branch for quotation, following up leads and managing your call logs and sales ledger.

The Person

The successful candidate must be a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills. You will have a natural flair for selling and have a commitment to customer service. Previous experience within a similar sales role, ideally gained within a Builders Merchants or Construction Sector is Desirable, and a full UK driving license is essential.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7.30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. plus alternate Saturdays 08:00am - 12noon.
