Field Service Engineer

Do you have previous experience with fire / burglar alarms or similar electronic devices? Are you interested in working as a Field Service Engineer? Do you have a full driving license? Join our client as a Field Service Engineer!

As Field Service Engineer you will:

• Provide exceptional support to all customers
• Attend customer sites
• Perform proactive maintenance & repairs of the product across the South West
• Service, calibrate and repair equipment to the relevant standards
• Ensure all serviced products are left fully operational and tested
• Support other team members on jobs that require multiple engineers
• Provide customer 'user training' when required
• Work closely with the Service Admin team making sure jobs are scheduled efficiently and meeting customers' requirements

The Field Service Engineer will have:

• Previous Field Service Engineering experience would be an advantage, but not essential
• Instrument equipment service, troubleshoot/repair, commissioning and/or installation experience
• Excellent customer communication skills in both writing and verbal
• HNC / HND in an electrical/electronic field or Equivalent understanding from work experience
• Working knowledge of control panel assembly and components PLC knowledge would be helpful but not a requirement
• Understanding of Health and Safety
• Knowledge of RAM's & POWRA's.
• Full driving license
• Confined Space, IPAF and Safety Passport is preferable, but training provided
