Job Description

Naturally as the new HR Partner, you'll drive the service forward through the delivery of key projects, cultivating an ethos of continual improvement in the way that you approach your work.

You're role will be to provide an efficient and professional Human Resources and Training Service to the organisation, including Democratic Body through providing expert advice and support.

You will need to be minimum CIPD Level 5 qualified for this role.

Responibilities:

  • Consult with Line Managers to provide daily advice and guidance.
  • Resolve complex employee relationships issues in partnership with Line Managers whilst also ensuring that employees receive the required support.
  • Work with Workplace Trade Union Representatives in the resolution of employment related matters..
  • To shape and reinforce the values of the organisation through fostering a positive workplace culture. Embedding the culture and ensuring consistent application across the organisation.
  • Actively contribute to the operational HR Functions including payroll, pension, job description reviews, occupational health referrals and other HR responsibilities.
  • Design, develop and adapt HR policies and procedures in line with changes to organisation needs, legislation and culture, continuously driving improvements though regular reviews in line with best practice and employment law.
  • Coordinate all recruitment and selection activities, ensuring all process and procedures are managed effectively from designing the advert through to on boarding. Liaising with recruitment agencies and negotiating costs when needed.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of a range of training and development activities across the organisation in line with the organisations objectives and values, including researching and sourcing suitable external training providers for specialist training.
  • Evaluate training programmes to assess their effectiveness.
  • Suggest improvements to the HR function and lead and on key HR projects and developments as requested by the Head of HR.
  • Keep professionally up to date with human resource management trends, initiatives, Employment and Case Law and identify required changes for compliance.
  • Carry out regular reviews to find new ways of working within the HR team and to drive changes forward within the service area, including improvement to HR Systems.
  • Encourage healthy behaviours and promote wellbeing initiatives. Providing support to managers and employees to ensure they receive appropriate support for their physical and mental health, using various platforms to effectively communicate initiatives.
  • Supporting employees through difficult times and processes and develop links with relevant support agencies, for example, mental health services.
  • Foster excellent working relationships with managers, employees and Trade Union Representative, encouraging two-way information sharing.
  • To understand the principles of GDPR and ensure compliant in own work area.
