Job Description

Vibe Recruit's client are seeking an experienced HR Administrator to join their small, friendly and busy HR Operations Team.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful candidate will support the HR and Recruitment function. You will posess at least six months experience working in a Human Resources team and be familiar with the intricacies of the HR function within an SME environment. Posessing or working towards a CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management, you will have an ability to manage and organise your own workload in a rapidly growing environment, and be able to communicate with staff across a range of disciplines, levels of authority and locations.

A strong team player with an eye for detail will enable the successful candidate to progress within the organisation as they continue to grow in size

They promote hybrid working, so a minimum of only 1 day a week at the St Athan base will be required

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assistance in the Recruitment Process by aiding senior management in drafting vacancy requirements, liaising with candidates/agencies, arranging interviews and providing relevant confirmation details to all parties.
  • Take responsibility for checking and responding to the central HR inbox.
  • Set up background screening checks and checking the reports received.
  • Take up references for new employees.
  • Prepare employment contracts and offer letters
  • Review and validate right to work documentation
  • Collate documentation for new starter packs and set up new colleague files
  • Update the HR database and file all employee documentation, ensuring all Data Protection procedures are adhered to
  • Provide support / advice to colleagues & managers as required
  • Draft employee letters and typing notes from meetings.
  • Assist with employee wellbeing activities
  • Assist with producing basic HR reports from the HR information system
  • Organise HR filing - electronic and hard copies.
  • Collate the annual appraisals, logging and filing accordingly.
  • Assist with HR projects such as improving the Induction process
  • Provide input to the company's HR Strategy

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

  • Member of the CIPD. CIPD Diploma in People Management or working towards this award would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a similar HR role.
  • Strong administration experience within a Human Resource team is desirable.

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and external suppliers
  • Self-motivated; able to work both independently and as part of a small team
  • Excellent organisational skills and used to producing highly accurate work.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information.
  • Proficient in the use of all MS Office applications, with a particular competence in using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Experience in using One Drive and MS Teams
  • Proactive approach with the ability to prioritise own workload.
  • SC clearance would be advantageous
