IT Network & Infrastructure Manager - Oxfordshire - £50,000 - £55,000

Role: It Network & Infrastructure Manager

Field: IT/IT Support/IT Management/IT Infrastructure/Network Security

Reporting to: IT Manager

Working hours: Monday - Friday (08:00 - 17:00)

Location of Work: Main site will be in Banbury and some travel to Manchester

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Benefits: 25 days holiday allowance + bank holidays, pension

This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Network & Infrastructure Manager to join a leading manufacturing business with scope to learn and develop further.

The Role:

You will ensure the network and platforms on which applications reside are fit for purpose, incorporating best practice in overseeing the maintenance of the existing infrastructure and developing it as technology and business needs evolve.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the IT Manager to promote and assist in the implementation of strategies, policies and procedures that seek to guide and shape the development and improvements of IT Support Service
  • supporting the IT Manager with the company's SQL databases
  • You will be expected to provide support in this area and develop an understanding to provide product support
  • Provide professional leadership and operational management
  • Ensuring that the IT Support Service is efficient, effective and can adapt to changing circumstances
  • ensuring that network security and integrity, and creating, documenting and implementing suitable IT policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the IT Support Service
  • Monitoring and reporting on KPI's and assist in developing the IT Support Service, whilst nurturing positive relationships with the customer-base and IT support staff
  • Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and finding ways to measure and improve it
  • Ensuring that all processes used by the IT Support Desk well documented to ensure consistency and ensure service improvements and best practices
  • Build and manage relationships with vendors and service providers

Requirements:

  • IT Is essential that someone is flexible as some occasional monthly travel is required to Manchester
  • Technical skills and experience across; MS Windows, MS Office, Citrix, VPN, Anti-virus software, Adobe, Email, PC, Printer, LAN, Networking/WIFI, Active Directory, Mobile Devices, Microsoft Operating Systems (server, desktop and cloud)
  • Domain management, VOIP systems, Virtual Server environments (VMWare / Hyper-V ), exchange server, spam filters, web filtering solutions , network design, network security management, build, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Strong ITIL, analytic and good communication skills
  • Strong Understanding of 1st -3rd Line Support, service
  • Endpoint management and protection
  • A problem solver with the ability to offer effective and practical solutions
  • Strong general knowledge of IT infrastructure, network and applications based on Microsoft platforms
  • Experience of supervising and developing an effective team in a complex environment would be beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail and a customer focussed mentality
