Job Description

My client based in Neath is looking to appoint an experienced IT Support Specialist on a permanent contract.

A business with a strong reputation in the market as a quality British manufacturer supplying the UK and worldwide. Manufacturing a range of products designed to solve the numerous challenges associated with consumers receiving their goods purchased online.

The role requires IT systems support across the business as follows:

Process Development (high level)

  • Mapping and documenting processes and keeping up to date records/documentation
  • Testing of new software releases, reporting back to group with revisions, corrections as required
  • Identify and manage bug fixes /corrections for UK live platform
  • Prepare and submit UK software development proposals as required
  • Keep abreast of software development and hardware integrations and support translation into UK product offering

New Business Sales Support

  • Create process flow maps in line with customer specific customisations and secure sign off with onboarding team member
  • Work with the onboarding function to ensure support documentation is in place for all new processes to enable seamless onboarding
  • Possess the ability to deliver process demonstrations to cover for holidays (not a core activity)
  • Keep accurate records of all customer system processes, including flags for service and maintenance renewals

Post order/ pre-installation

  • Verify system setup and configuration / test functionality prior to despatch
  • Implement any customer screen customisations
  • Upload terms of use to portal and add customer address location details
  • Configure concierge accounts, assign manager and service tags / PINS
  • Support the reconfiguration and expansion of systems by customers via software configuration

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience as a Customer IT Support Specialist or similar CS role
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-tasking abilities
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
  • Familiarity with both PC Hardware and Software
  • Experience with computer networks
  • Desirable BSc in Information Technology or relevant diploma

Working Hours : Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.
