Junior Development Scientist

My client based in Port Talbot are seeking a Junior Development Scientist to join them due to increased growth.

In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- A Degree in Chemistry or related science subject
-Previous lab experience
-Experience working with databases

Within this role, your duties and responsibilities will be:

-Reporting to Technical Manager on day-to-day basis
-Set up of physical/chemical stability studies.
-Maintenance of NPD laboratory (daily checks, records, cleaning)
-Production of NPD samples for customer.
-Supporting preparation of Technical Trials and providing support to Production personnel as required
-Report writing and document preparation for review by Technical Manager
-Providing support to Quality Department


The successful candidate will have:
-Strong and clear verbal/written skills.
-Good listening skills.
-Ability to work as part of a team, interacting and gaining confidence of others
-Proactive and positive and enthusiastic attitude
-Ability to prepare detailed technical and regulatory specifications according to requirements
-Computer literacy.
-Previous lab experience.
-Knowledge of manufacturing principles.


This is a permanent role, Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm with a salary between £22,000 and £25,000 per annum dependant upon experience.
