Licensing Officer - Oxford

Position: Licensing Officer

Type: Fixed Term

Salary: G3 - £20,463 (37 hours) with salary increase to Grade 4

Location: Oxford

Hours: 22 - 37 hours per week

08:30-17:00 - Monday-Thursday

08:30-16:30 - Fridays

Vibe Recruit are working with a well-known client who is recruiting for a Licensing Officer to join their team in the public service sector. You will be responsible for processing applications accurately and efficiently for a range of services while delivering world class customer service to all customers. Full training will be provided with great progression paths to build your career.

Please note that the duties and salary (advancement after 6 months) for the role are subject to change and you will be required to undertake other duties to commensurate with your grade.

Responsibilities:

  • Inputting data to register applications for a range of services.
  • Updating ICT systems quickly & accurately using effective data entry skill.
  • Processing the above applications using agreed procedures and guidance.
  • Working with the team to provide excellent customer service by ensuring phone and email cover during the team's core hours and meeting agreed targets.
  • Pro-actively seeking to improve quality in processing, both as an individual and supporting team and engaging positively with feedback when provided.
  • Liaising with colleagues and external customers to resolve queries while maintaining and providing World-class customer service.
  • Undertaking regular training as required to be able to perform well under set guideline in processing applications for multiple services.
  • Complete work as allocated and prioritising where needed to ensure that agreed targets are continuously met, escalating when appropriate.
  • Dealing with complaints by following procedures in respect of customer feedback.

Essential:

  • Proficient use of ICT systems such as Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Able to prioritise and organise work to meet deadlines
  • Delivering excellent customer service
