Job Description

Our client is experiencing an extended period of growth as a result of their continued business success and growth through acquisition.

What they are looking for -

A Logistics Administrator to support the business with the Customs Clearance of European goods.

Full training will be offered for the role and a good knowledge of MS Office is required. The ideal candidate would have excellent attention to detail and accurate data processing ability. They are looking for someone with previous data entry / administrative experience that are keen to learn and would be interested in working for a reputable logistics business.

To work within a multi-modal branch, your focus will be European road freight. Striving to add value to their existing customer base with a focus on internal sales and account management.

Duties and responsibilities will involve but not limited to:

Raising and arranging customs clearances

Managing booking slots with suppliers and receivers

Keeping customers fully updated on the status of their movement

Creating and updating bookings on our Freight Management Software

The role will require constant communication by telephone and email to customers and hauliers in order to provide an exceptional logistics service.

Key Requirements

Positive and solution based approach to work

Excellent customer service skills

Confident communicating via both phone and email

Experience in European Road Freight Forwarding preferred but not essential

Experience of Microsoft office packages in a work environment

Be able to learn new IT systems quickly and accurately

Be a team player that is focused on delivering the best possible customer experience

To successfully manage existing accounts


· Competitive salary of between £24,000 to £30,000pa, dependent on experience
· 40 hours per week, will include rotational weekends
