Manufacturing Manager

A growing and successful precision engineering company based near Abingdon are seeking and experienced Machine shop/Manufacturing Manager.

The position requires an in-depth knowledge of precision engineering and machining along with excellent communication skills, and the ability to improve efficiency and productivity in a precision engineering environment.

The Manufacturing Manager will lead a team of skilled technicians and will coordinate the activities of the manufacturing team, mentor, coach and to ensure agreed production and quality levels are met.

The organisation has an established and varied customer base, with over 40% of orders being repeat business.

About you:

The company is looking for an experienced Precision Production Manager who is technically qualification, either an apprenticeship, BTEC, ONC, HNC or HND.

Ideal candidates will be experienced in managing a small to medium sized skilled production team, have a strong knowledge of precision engineering, good people and leadership skills.

The company has ambitious plans and is expanding the building infrastructure and making further investment in machinery and equipment, to improve the output of the operation.
