Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Engineering Manufacturing)

Vibe Recruit are currently looking for an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer whose experience must have been gained working on CNC Turning, Milling Machines, Lathes, Hardening and welding machinery within an engineering manufacturing environment.

As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and expected to be able to work a double day shift and you will be providing mechanical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and other specialist machinery. Part of the role will be mechanical repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanks.

You will manage and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine down-times to a minimum as well as investigating reported faults, identifying the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault along with planned preventative maintenance.

Essential Experience:

• HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience in an Engineering environment which includes experience of fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines
• Conversant with Fanuc & Siemens controls
• Ability to read and comprehend hydraulic, pneumatic and machine schematic diagrams
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, manuals, correspondence and memos
• Conversant with present and emerging technology, up to date knowledge of equipment and techniques
