Payroll Assistant - Maternity Cover - one year

Vibe have just registered a new vacancy for a very well respected company who are looking for a Payroll Assistant.

Their payroll team are seeking a second payroll team member to provide a professional in-house payroll service to cover maternity leave.

Background

• You will ideally be from a payroll background but applicants who come from an accounts background and have a sound working knowledge of administration processes will be of value - in which case training will be provided.
• You will need to have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Evidence of being able to use initiative, discretion with the ability to multitask.
• A good working knowledge of Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.
• Compute employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes.
• Answer staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records.
• Receive and coordinate requests for leave and other absences.
• Keep up to date with payroll legislative information and changes
