Role - Production Operative
Location - Baglan, Port Talbot
Vibe Recruit have an immediate requirement for manufacturing operatives for our client based in Baglan.
Duties -
Worker will operate production machines to perform operations or produce finished good. Works from written or verbal instructions and general operating procedures, which requires the application of some judgement and selectivity.
· Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle, loading raw materials into machines
· Control and adjust machine settings
· Test operation of machines periodically
· Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
· Ensure quality of production
· Maintain stringent Health and Safety standards
Candidates will need to have the following experience -
· Previous involvement in the operation of machines
· Must be physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
· Be mechanically minded
· Working on a high-speed production line
· Ensuring the line runs at the optimum run rate with minimum downtime and waste
This position will require heavy lifting.
Full training can be provided for the right candidate, but experience of operating production machines is a must. The right candidate will have a good standard of numeracy, a keen eye for details and a responsive attitude to quality control.
Must be flexible and able to work a 3-shift pattern -
Mornings - 06.00 - 14.00
Afternoons - 14.00 - 22.00 - 10% Shift Allowance
Nights - 22.00 - 06.00 - 30% Shift Allowance
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
