Project Manager

As a Project Manager you will be reporting to the Head of Programmes. We are seeking a project manager with the ability to support the positive outcomes of projects from bid, initial requirements capture/ scoping to project delivery and close out in an aerospace setting. The scope of the role may include projects ranging in size from cutting edge research to development and system integration projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Prince II/APM
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Project
Degree level or equivalent, an engineering/scientific qualification is desirable
SC Clearance an advantage
UK Driving License

RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and quality, within scope and budget
Developing project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan and track/monitor/report progress
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform effective project risk and opportunity management
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/partners/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Provide bid/ proposal support/leadership as required
Understanding of Government grant framework projects and operation an advantage
Contribute to the improvement of company/project processes/procedures

Ideally you will have significant experience of Project Management within an Aerospace/defence business and have experience of working under complex frameworks.
