Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Internal Verification (IV) system is followed and maintained in line with the code of practice.
  • Maintain records in accordance with Awarding Body standards.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of all trainee documentation to reflect an accurate learning journey and progress.

Training and Assessment

  • Deliver high-quality training programmes to assigned learners/clients, ensuring top standards are met.
  • Travel regionally to visit learners in the workplace for assessments.
  • Create and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), mapping out learning routes for each learner.
  • Participate in the planning, monitoring, and achievement of performance targets.
  • Organize additional training through day release and provide in-house training support as necessary.
  • Develop training materials to meet course delivery needs.
  • Keep records of client achievements and meet performance targets set by relevant awarding bodies.
  • Administer tests according to Awarding Body guidelines.
  • Stay informed about Work-Based Learning Professional Standards, the Education Workforce Code of Practice, and the company's Code of Conduct.
  • Cooperate with colleagues to maintain a safe workplace and report any risks to the Health and Safety Officer.

Person Specification:

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience delivering training in relevant fields.
  • Experience in Work-Based Learning.
  • Knowledge of Awarding Body procedures.
  • A1/CAVA or equivalent qualification.
  • Assessor experience.
  • ESW Communication Level 2 and Application of Number Level 2.
  • Occupational experience in the relevant apprenticeship routes.
  • Full driving licence and use of own vehicle.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • TAQA or equivalent qualification.
  • City & Guilds 9300 Level 2 in Supporting Adults and Young People in Essential Skills (or a willingness to work towards it).
  • Apprenticeship delivery experience.
  • Fluent in Welsh.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Safeguarding and Prevent policies.
  • Understanding of ESW requirements and public-funded training programmes.
  • IT literacy.

  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and a team player.
