We are currently recruiting for a Quality / Technical Assistant to join a well established manufacturer in Blackwood. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will hold a key role within the Quality /Technical team, supporting the technical department inclusive of microbiological testing, traceability, mass balance and administrative duties.

As Quality / Technical Assistant you will:

• Help to promote an awareness of food safety and quality throughout the business.

• Conduct internal quality system audits to ensure compliance and continual improvement against industry best practice.

• Update customer and internal specification systems as well as preparing and Maintaining Technical Documentation.

• Be responsible for completing and monitor microbiological testing of finished products, raw materials and the manufacturing environment.

• Ensure site compliance with and maintain certification to the relevant BRC standard and Quality Management System

• Update and maintain the Document Control system in a timely manner.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications you will need:

• The ability to be a team player with great communication skills

• Previous experience in a similar technical /quality role.

• Understanding of BRC, Quality Management Systems and Customer requirements.

• The ability to demonstrate an understanding of internal Technical KPI's.
