R&D Engineer

My client based in Carmarthenshire are looking for an R&D Engineer to join their team.

You will be responsible for designing and developing automotive HVAC components and systems. Your project management strength will support new product launches, life cycle management and the continuous improvement of current product competitiveness.

Duties and responsibilities:
Complete development activities to achieve quality, cost and delivery targets for new launch products.
Generate progress and implement product improvement projects i.e technical cost reduction
Investigate and report the European region development technologies and trends
Analyse data and produce reports
Network effectively across functions with the region
You will need:
Mechanical Engineering Degree of equivalent
Experience in design or testing of automotive HVAC components/systems
An understanding of automotive standards including performance requirements
Experience in application of engineering tools and techniques e.g designs FMEA, FTA, etc.
