Full time

Basic salary: negotiable depending on experience

OTE: up to £40K

The role

My client is a construction company who provide design services for all stages of the build from concept stage to remedial works for existing structures. Due to restructuring an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager to cover Central and North England. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to develop within a growing company that operates nationally. Experience is more important than academic qualifications for this role and you should therefore hold a minimum of 5 years' successful selling experience within the construction industry.

Duties and responsibilities

Increase market share in terms of material supply and contractual agreements where possible in line with agreed financial growth targets

Develop Industry/ market knowledge to source new business opportunities

Identify, manage and complete relevant tender opportunities for submission within set deadlines

Attend exhibitions and events to support the Sales and Marketing strategy

Provide accurate forecasts and summaries of the profitability of all work

Deliver customer focused projects across the area account portfolio focusing on recycling and value

Working with various departments such as Finance, Technical, Estimating and procurement to ensure seamless delivery of the customer journey

Being available for designated accounts out of hours phone divert

Creatively meet and exceed client customer service relationship, financial and other aspirations

Experience, skills and qualifications required

CIWM - Cloud Sustainability

Ideally educated to further education level

Excellent communication and IT skills - with the ability to communicate at all levels, including senior executives, both within internal and external customers

Excellent presentation skills

Demonstration of a sound level of industry and legislation knowledge

Minimum of 2 years sales and account management

Industry knowledge preferred
