Senior Machine Setter

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Machine Setter to join an industry leading manufacturer based in Tredegar.

You will be responsible for efficiently manufacturing high quality products. This is achieved by following good manufacturing practice, training and batch record sheets ensuring product made is to the correct specification. The senior setter is responsible for the placement and removal of tooling and ensuring this is done without damaging the equipment. Only the senior machine setter can make critical adjustments to the machine ensuring quality standards are met at all times.

General Accountabilities

• Produce high quality products to ensure their position in the market place.
• Keep waste to a minimum.
• Keep downtime to a minimum, the senior operator is responsible for changeovers and machine setting within specified targets.
• Ensure the correct set up.
• Ensure all checks are carried out properly.
• The Senior Machine Setter is responsible for complex problem solving and ensuring the machines run high quality products.
• If there is a problem on a machine being run by a machine operator the Senior machine setter must move to the problematic machine to resolve the issues.
• Hand over all necessary information to next shift.
• Training of new operators.
• Comply with GMP.
• Work on complex trials and products actively seeking challenging products.
• To highlight any non conforming product, shortage or forthcoming issues asap.
• Help as required by reporting any damaged or faulty equipment
