Testing Inspector

We are currently recruiting for a Testing Inspector to join an international, leading provider of Heat Treatments in Knowsley. The is a fantastic opportunity to join the production team providing the capability to fluorescent inspect thermally coated customer components and support the wider on-site quality team.

As a Testing Inspector you will:

• Complete non-destructive fluorescent inspection of thermally coated customer components.
• Efficiently run and maintain the NDT department and follow procedure/customer order requirements.
• Be responsible for operating within the NDT department.
• Carry out daily inspection / calibration checks.
• Be responsible for maintaining the NDT area.
• Support the quality department with Inspection activities (Incoming / final) & lab testing.
• Responsible for quality of work and level of production.
• Inspect parts before and after processing to ensure preceding operations have been conducted correctly and to verify that your own work has met the required standards.
• Contribute to the 5S improvements of the working environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualified to PCN Level 2 for FPI.
• Documented NDT experience.
• Experience in technique writing.
• Be Competent in the use of measuring equipment and measuring techniques.
• Experience in reading engineering drawings.

• £28,000 - £32,000 p/a (depending on experience).
