We are currently recruiting a Trainee Technical Administrator for an industry leader in heavy engineering based in Pontypool. Our client is a very successful manufacturer providing their technology to key industries like oil & gas, nuclear, power generation and marine sectors.

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the technical sales team with the view of learning the role and provide advice of the products to new and existing clients.

As a Trainee Technical Administrator, you will:

• Provide great customer service when speaking with customers
• Assist the sales team with technical review and evaluation of quotations
• Attend trade shows and other marketing events
• Enter technical details correctly into the system (SAP)

What are we looking for in you?

• Willingness to learn sales and negotiation skills
• Great attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office Package
• Mechanical and technical skills or experience working within manufacturing environment would be desirable
