Trainee Traffic Planner

What they are looking for?

They are seeking an enthusiastic Trainee Traffic Planner to provide support to the transportation planning capability in the UK area.

You will have a good understanding of transport planning around the UK, and the versatility to apply your skills in transport policy and scheme development.

You will be expected to not only provide transport planning expertise but also start to apply project and staff management skills as part of your daily role. A typical week would include -

• Liaising with subcontractors
• Liaising with agencies
• Different aspects of admin work
• Routing and planning
• Managing drivers
• Liaising with internal stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

• Must possess good IT skills and be able to adapt to changing workload with a confident telephone manor and an ability to retain information and report back to a supervisor.
• Bright, sharp, articulate, and confident individual keen to work hard and develop at speed, but able to work as part of a successful team.
• Previous experience within Transport or similar environment is preferred, however not essential as full training will be provided.
