Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Newport

Salary:: £35,000K - £45,000K per year

Monday - Friday

The Role

• Transport planning according to customer's production plan and requirements
• Arranging multi drop deliveries for the following day

Customer service on site:

• Assign drivers as appropriate to meet collection/delivery schedules.
• Prioritising workload, route planning driver brief and de-brief
• Booking the deliveries in with the end customers
• Being the first point of contact for any transport related queries and claims
• Contacting the drivers regarding delivery queries
• Subbing the loads out to subcontractors when the operations require it

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Experience in transport planning
• Confident in all Microsoft suite especially excel.
• Experience using transport management systems
• Experience planning multiple projects/contracts
• Experience with Purchase Orders, Quotes etc
