Registered Manager
Job description
We are looking for an experienced, organised, and inspiring Registered Manager to lead our well-established Learning Disabilities service in Llandeilo.
You will be managing managing a fully occupied 18-bed residential service that supports adults with Learning Disabilities. You'll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the home, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of care, compliance, and resident satisfaction.
About the Role:
- Provide strong leadership to the team, ensuring a culture of respect, dignity, and person-centred support.
- Oversee all operational aspects of the service, including staffing, training, rotas, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) regulations, local authority requirements, and organisational policies.
- Monitor quality standards through regular audits, service reviews, and improvement plans.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability without compromising care quality.
- Act as the key point of contact for residents, families, CIW, healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment where both residents and staff can thrive.
About You:
- Proven track record in managing a large residential service (Learning Disabilities experience essential).
- Strong working knowledge of CIW regulations and best practice standards in social care.
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
- Inspirational leader who can motivate, coach, and develop staff.
- Able to work collaboratively with external agencies, families, and the local community.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) required, or willingness to work towards it.
