As part of the UK’s exit from the European Union, a number of changes have recently taken place which affect the rules around non-UK residents living and working in the UK.
At Vibe Recruit, we employ lots of European workers across our 12 divisions who work on temporary and permanent contracts. We genuinely value the experience, skills and approach that our European colleagues bring to our business and the UK workforce as a whole. During our regular dialogue with our EU workers it has become clearer that many are yet to take the appropriate steps required by the Government in order to ensure you are able to continue living and working in the UK should you so wish.
We feel we have a responsibility to remind you of the process you will need to take and to offer you guidance around this.
The UK Government has now set out new legislation surrounding the right to remain in the UK. This guidance states that in order for an EU National to be able to remain you must apply for Pre-Settled Status or Settled Status by 30th June 2021.

On completing these steps, if successful you will be given either settled or pre-settled status meaning you can continue to live and work here in the UK. Without this status you will no longer legally have the right to live and work in the UK after 30th June 2021.
Please note: Even if you have lived in the UK for many years or you have a permanent residence document, you still need to apply.

If you are yet to apply, we would encourage you to do so at your earliest convenience, remember this must be done by 30th June 2021.
