About the Role

An innovative organisation, involved in the design and manufacture of specialist optoelectronic / electro-mechanical equipment, has a need for an experienced Assembly Technician, to join the team at their engineering facility, on Milton Park in South Oxfordshire.

Duties will be varied and will include:

• Assembly of various products, to required standards and timescales.
• Following build notes
• Reporting faults
• Proactively suggest manufacturing and process changes to support continuous improvement.
• Identify any new processes and equipment required that could improve yields, quality and performance
• Ensure appropriate handing of sensitive electronic product during assembly process
• Working with microscopes on very small assemblies including wire bonding
• Working in clean static free environment

Key attributes

• Possess excellent hand eye co-ordination, be dextrous at using hand tools and have an eye for detail
• Soldering skills
• Experience of using hand tools
• Experience using basic multi-meters for fault finding
• Experience using power supplies, test equipment etc
• Experience working in a clean room manufacturing environment
• Anti-static experience
• Micro assembly experience
• Wire bonding experience
• Have good written and verbal communication skills
• Operate proactively and effectively in a team environment
