Vibe Recruit's client, the leading independent builders' merchants in South West Wales, is looking to appoint an Assistant Branch Manager on a full time, permanent contract to support the Branch Manager in the effective, efficient and profitable running of the branch and deputise in their absence.
Location: Aberdare
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Salary: £26,000 per annum
DUTIES:
Branch Management
- Controlling the branch's day to day activities, involving all operating processes and procedures
- Identifying where changes and improvements can be made to processes and opportunities
- Responding and dealing with suppliers within limits, including the purchase of products to replenish stocks
Finance
- Identifying and recommending profit improvement plans
- Assisting with cash collection and the control of both stock and debtors to achieve cash flow targets
- Assisting with maximising financial results for sales and return on capital
Team leadership
- Managing staff to ensure all employees are clear on work priorities and that activities are completed
- Motivating staff to achieve goals
- To deputise and support the BM in the recruitment and selection process
- Ensuring staff are developed on an ongoing basis to realise maximum potential.
- To deputise and support the BM in coaching staff on products, processes and procedures
