Are you an experienced Buyer looking for a new opportunity?

Then we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a Buyer to join an expanding Contract Electronics Manufacturer with more than 20 years' experience working days Monday to Friday based in Aberdare.

You will be responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing of direct and indirect material, determining quantity and timing of deliveries to meet production demands.

  • Monday - Thursday 7.45am - 4.30pm and Friday 7.45am - 1pm.

Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Managing the sourcing and purchasing of direct and indirect material, determining quantity and timing of deliveries to meet production dates.
  • Reviewing of technical specifications for materials to source correct parts and alternatives.
  • Negotiation of prices and contracts to maximise savings potential and contractual commitments for the business.
  • Running of and managing MRP recommendations and effectively forecasting of strategic stock requirements and upcoming demand, ensuring flexible customer requirements support.
  • Ensuring accuracy of SAGE Master Data (Product Information) for pricing, lead-times and supplier contact information to support budget objectives.
  • Providing strategic pricing information in support of Customer RFQs producing effective competitive edge.
  • Sourcing reliable suppliers and managing supplier performance to support on time, on cost on quality requirements.
  • Attending supplier meetings and supplier interface management, ensuring performance management and continuous improvements in the supply chain.
  • Demonstrating professional and organised customer interface focus for communication of information providing proficient customer relationship management.
  • Demonstrating personal leadership attributes and professional behaviour in line with HR policies.
  • Providing all relevant feedback of material issues and material measures.

Buyer Experience / Skills:

  • Identifying materials critical processes and critical success factors.
  • Carrying out 5S and other continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Managing the performance measurement process (PMP), training files and ISO matrix.
  • Co-ordinate with other Departments to facilitate issue resolution and participate in cross functional team projects.
