CNC Machinist

Vibe Recruit's client based in Caerphilly are looking to recruit a CNC Machinist on a full time, permanent contract.

The business has continued to innovate in design and in their manufacturing processes, maintaining their leadership as a key supplier to customers in the global oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, nuclear, marine and power industries.

Salary - £29,522 per annum

Working hours - 2 shift pattern (rotating days and afternoons)

• Days - Monday - Thursday 06.00 - 14.30, Friday 06:00 - 12:00
• Afternoons Monday - Wednesday 14.00 - 24.00, Thursday 14.00 - 23.30

Key responsibilities:

• The machining of valve components in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
• To ensure components are machined in accordance with Route cards, Engineering drawings & Standard work
• Ability to understand Engineering drawings
• To carry out the inspection of components prior to delivery to stores
• Ability to use 3D programming software - Solidcam (not essential)
• Ensure the machinery and equipment is maintained

Qualifications:

• Time served apprenticeship in machining
• Recognised technical qualification in a related discipline (e.g. HND, Apprenticeship trained etc.)
• Computer literate - use of windows based environment

Experience:

• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience of CNC Programming/machining
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing tools/techniques
