CNC Machinist

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a global solutions provider offering products and services to the energy market, based in Port Talbot offering £26,500 plus shift allowance reporting to the production supervisor.

As a CNC Machinist you will:

• Set, prove & fully machine parts as required from programmes supplied by the production engineering team.
• Edit programs as required to suit material conditions.
• Program components on machinery using drawings / information provided when necessary.
• Save all programs and set up sheets after every job identifying areas for improvement.
• Highlight any specific tooling or material issues to the operations manager.
• Ensure on time delivery of machined parts.
• Set machine parameters to specific tolerances.
• Conduct inspection ensuring quality of parts is to the standard required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualified as a CNC Machinist.
• Experience within a mechanical engineering environment.
• Experienced in the use of turning / milling machines.
• A good understanding of measurement tools and gauges.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
