Counter Sales Assistant

Position: Counter Sales Assistant

Salary: £22,500 per annum plus benefits

Location: Bicester

We are looking for a Counter Sales Assistant to join a leading private self-storage provider based in Bicester.

Reporting to the store manager, this role would suit a sales and commercially focused individual with previous customer service-based sales experience. You will be assisting in all aspects of the stores sales performance as well as letting of storage rooms to delivery for customers.

Shifts between the hours of: (40 hours a week)

Monday to Friday (08.00 to 19.15)

Saturday (09.00 to 18.00)

Sunday (10.00 to 16.00) currently no Sundays

Responsibilities:

• Letting of storage rooms and office space
• Selling of merchandise and advising customers of insurance options
• Processing of cash / card and BACS payments
• Advising new and existing customers on the best storage solution for their particular needs
• Ensuring the store presents itself to a high standard of cleanliness
• Facilities management
• Ensuring the store is running smoothly on a consistent basis
• Providing cover at partnered stores when required
• On call, key holder and alarm responsibilities

Requirements:

• Must hold a full driving licence and willing to drive a 3.5 tonne van when required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing sales and/or retail environment
• Excellent communication skills and a hands-on and CAN-DO attitude
