Electrical Maintenance Technician


Salary: £32,780 inclusive of shift allowance 37-hour week


6.00am to 2.00pm, 2.00pm to 10.00pm, 10.00pm to 6.00am Monday to Thursday
Friday shifts are 5 hours. 6.00am to 11.00am, 11.00am to 4.00pm, 4.00pm to 9.00pm
Paid overtime available


Overview

An opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing company based near Swansea that are envisaging an increased period of growth.

The Role:


Provide breakdown and planned maintenance support to manufacturing areas.
Carry out Improvements, TPM, Schedule
Fault finding, undertake timely repairs of all equipment.
Ensure machinery running to optimum with minimum downtime.
Fault-finding on A.C. / D.C. Drives and PLC systems.
Health and Safety Awareness for all activities undertaken, ensuring strict adherence to safe working practices and always observe safety rules.
Communicate with Shift Supervisors to determine priority / urgency of a required repair.
Complete relevant paperwork and fill in PPM reports.
Look at ways of improving equipment.

Qualifications/Experience

Ideally have completed a time served electrical apprenticeship. However, consideration will be given to applicants with NVQ level 3 in electrical engineering supported by several year's maintenance experience within a heavy to medium manufacturing operation.
Strong problem analysis and fault-finding skills
Used to prioritising essential maintenance work
