Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Team Leader in Hirwaun to join a well-established technology development company that offers smart innovation solutions from concept to delivery offering electronic and firmware design services through to design and manufacturing. Salary is £35,000 - £40,000.

As Engineering Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, optimising processes, and ensuring the successful development and delivery of high-quality electronic products.

As Engineering Team Leader you will:

  • Lead and inspire a small team of engineers fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities within the engineering team.
  • Assist the NPI manager through the product development lifecycle from concept to manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with various departments including production, test, quality and PCBA to ensure seamless product development.
  • Provide quotations for repair work as necessary and produce analysis reports.
  • Develop and manage project plans and resource allocations ensuring timely delivery of products.
  • Implement and uphold rigorous quality control processes within the engineering department to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Communicate project status during production meetings providing transparency across teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Experience of working in an ISO 9001 or 13485 environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes, design principles and quality control.
  • Proven experience in engineering leadership roles within the electronic manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with SMT machines.
