We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Manager to act as a key member of the operations management team for a unique, well established manufacturer in Bridgend. This is a great opportunity to showcase your managerial skills and production knowledge when leading both the Production and Engineering teams to achieve the desired results to tie in with the ambitious growth plans of the company.

As Manufacturing Manager you will:

- Be responsible and accountable for the performance of the team whilst also driving continuous improvement through lean manufacturing techniques.

- Collaborate with multiple departments within the business to ensure new products are rolled out from R&D through to mass production professionally and within agreed timescales.

- Ensure the Health and safety of team members and visitors to site ensuring risk assessments are generated and continually reviewed for all tasks undertaken by the team.

- Plan, implement, control and communicate out production schedules to the team.

- Manage all personnel issues across the Manufacturing group including employee learning and development, annual performance appraisals, grievance and/or discipline.

- Identify skills gaps within the team and arrange training to close gaps and strengthen business continuity.

- Work efficiently, collaboratively and co-operatively between relevant departments including R&D, Procurement, Quality, Distribution and Management.

- Continually strive to improve the manufacturing process and introduce methods to reduce manufacturing cost (scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, labour efficiency).

- Ensure high standards of 5S are maintained by the team at all times.
