Job Description

As a Marketing Officer you will play a pivotal role within an organisation, establishing the appropriate tone for all written and digital communication. Your responsibilities will encompass managing the company's social media accounts, overseeing their website, crafting content for written publications, and coordinating communication for public events like site and shop launches.

In addition, you will bring a creative design flair to the table, devising innovative ways to market their services that deviate from conventional corporate communication. Your skill set will extend to designing eye-catching leaflets, posters, and other visual media. Furthermore, you will be adept at engaging with the media, including television and radio outlets.

Location: Newport

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Hybrid working: 2 days home, 3 days office.

28 days holiday per year (inc BH) rising by 1 per year to 33 days at 5 years service, birthdays off, 4% employer contribution pension scheme.

Job Role:

  • To write, implement and maintain the Marketing Communications Plan for the group, working closely with Department Managers and the CEO to do this.

  • To liaise with the contract Local Authority's PR department on all relevant communication

  • To monitor, develop and update their website

  • To develop and maintain the social media accounts, and oversee those run by other departments

  • To design and maintain company branding in written and digital form

  • To market the services of the group

  • Produce written media for the group including leaflets, posters, banners, articles, newsletters, blogs etc

  • Write and put out press releases as and when required

  • Create launch events for new projects, sites and shops, liaising with key staff and ensuring their effective management

  • Communicate with media; TV, Radio and written print

  • To report regularly to the Board and CEO

  • To carry out any other reasonable management requests
