Overview
Provide reactive or preventative maintenance support to a high-volume manufacturing facility on a day to day or shift by shift basis.
Responsibilities
Undertake reactive maintenance and routine maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Carryout fault-finding activities and undertake timely repair of equipment in the following areas;
Electrical Control Systems
Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
Robotics and PLC's
Mechanical plant
Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities on automated production facilities on a weekly basis.
Adherence to departmental systems (PM, recording downtime)
Involvement on all site equipment repairs and safe operational performance in line with appropriate formal maintenance regulations.
Ensure all equipment is safe and fit for purpose.
Ensure strict adherence to safe working practices and observe safety rules all times.
Timely response to equipment stoppages.
Identify problems, suggest improvements if applicable, follow up on temporary repairs
Implement lean manufacturing methodology to apply Improvements to production equipment.
Key performance indicators such as equipment OEE.
Maintenance of the buildings and grounds of the facility.
Attend meetings as a delegate and assist the following activities as and when required H&S, CI, TPM,
Ensure all activities follow the Quality Management System
Responsible for the daily/monthly checks in line with quality system form.
Qualifications/Experience
Completed a recognised electrical or mechatronic apprenticeship with EAL/C&G and 17th Edition I.E.E. Regulations.
Further education to HNC level would be an advantage, however, equal consideration with be given to applicants with a proven track record in a similar environment.
To understand TPM and PPM processes.
Fault Finding & Problem Solving using structured approach.
IT Literate. MS Office & AutoCAD.
Must be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, open to change and have a can-do approach.
