Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

The Role

• New Product Introduction or modification supporting stamping and assembly processes, managing product design, process and gauge design including feasibility and introduction
• Combining strong product and process knowledge with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• 3D engineering design
• Strong understanding of core tools - PFMEA, Control Plan, Gauge R&R
• Strong occupational experience and knowledge of high volume manufacturing, specifically engineering processes within manufacturing, mechanical and or automotive
• Lead assembly equipment sourcing, buy off, installation and commissioning
• Provide accurate costs and timing feedback for products and changes during enquiry and program phase
• Supporting the follow up of pressing/assembly/tooling equipment as required, ensuring adherence to agreed planning
• Communication and presentation directly with customers and internal stakeholders

Qualifications/Experience

• HNC/Degree in mechanical engineering supported by several years experience within a heavy to medium manufacturing operation
• Thorough understanding of specifying and using GD&T
• Strong problem solving techniques
