Due to continued growth my client requires a Technical Planning Engineer providing customer quotations whilst carrying out technical planning assessments. Reporting directly to the Technical Director you will respond to customers commercial and technical enquiries. In addition, you will prepare technical plans for the manufacturing team whilst managing large projects.

Duties and responsibilities

Facilitate Design Reviews of Major Projects with the Design and Manufacturing Teams.
Manage large projects from Quotation to Installation as required. Understanding of Project Management with respect to time compression/concurrent engineering/critical path and mitigation of risk.
Liaise with the Sub-Contract network of suppliers as required for the efficient operation of manufacturing.
When required assist the manufacturing team in their activities, this will at times involve a hands on approach
Monitor Routes for processes that are running above estimated times, any such processes that above need to be challenged and addressed.
Manage the Health & Safety systems on site in conjunction with Team leaders
Provide oversight to the Company Apprentice Training programme
