Principle Structural Engineer - Based in Wolverhampton - Permanent Role

VibeRecruit is working with an award-winning light steel frame design & construction company who are industry leaders operating across the residential & commercial sectors respectively.

Their main projects include designing & constructing bespoke housing, schools & colleges, student accommodation and leisure facilities across the UK; using light frame structural steel, which is sustainable, quick to manufacture and highly cost efficient.

Due to increased business gains they are currently seeking a Principle Structural Engineer to lead their established design team based in Wolverhampton.

Hands-on design experience of structural building, incorporating light steel frame is desirable. Strong project management skills & demonstrated experience of leading projects from inception to completion on time & within budget is essential.

He/She will be also be responsible for preparing reports, structural design and drawings using CAD software, Autodesk Advanced Steel and Autodesk Revit.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable dealing with clients, contractors and architects alike acting as a first point of contact for the business.

This is a progressive management role as the successful candidate will also take charge of a team of engineers in the near future thus holding a prominent multi-team supervisory presence across the business.

Finally, they will also be responsible for developing, supervising and mentoring members of their team including appraisals & reviews.
