Job Description

We're looking for someone who is self-driven and has demonstrable entrepreneurial spirit, and a can-do attitude. Due to company expansion this is a new role, you will work closely with the production manager.

Process Engineer Benefits:

Process Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Optimise manufacturing processes to improve usages, minimise waste, increase capacity, production rates and increase productivity.
  • Simplify standards and standardising manual operations.
  • Improve plant ergonomics, efficiency of assets and the safety of production processes.
  • Responsible for improvements on plant and processes under their responsibility.
  • Develop delay projects, capacity increase projects and projects associated with new products.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of plant efficiency.
  • Implement of productivity programs.
  • Demonstrate project management techniques to achieve project objectives, ensuring compliance with cost, quality, and implementation costs.
  • Ensure production procedures are written and updated.
  • Ensure execution of SAP production confirmations.
  • Ensure the implementation of quality and EHS programs.
  • Provide training on procedures to operatives.
  • Act as production supervisor back-up in areas in which they are responsible.

Process Engineer Experience / Skills:

  • Science degree.
  • At least 2 years' experience.
  • Project management skills.
  • Lean six sigma green belt is beneficial.
  • High desire and courage to learn new skills.
  • Self-starter and strong leadership skills.
  • Value stream mapping.
  • Kaizen facilitation.
  • Kanban planning.
  • 5S.
  • Visual controls and visual factory.
  • Statistical techniques and designed experiments.
