Process Technician

Process Technician

Location : Llantrisant

Salary : £28,890 rising to £31,426 following probation.

Working Hours:

12 hour shift pattern rotating weeks

Week 1 - Monday Day / Tuesday Day / Thursday Night / Friday Night

Week 2 - Monday Night / Tuesday Night / Wednesday Night

Week 3 - Wednesday Day / Thursday Day / Friday Day

General duties/responsibilities

• Review the production plan, identify problem areas, establish the reasons for this and decide course of action.
• Identify and resolve downtime issues.
• Perform machine safety checks. Repair where necessary.
• Ensure all chemicals / substances used comply with the COSHH regulations and are stored correctly.
• Carry out machine/tooling maintenance.
• Carry out Quality checks on all machines for which you are responsible.
• Prioritise actions to improve Quality if necessary.
• Rectify any Quality defects, documenting what corrective action has been taken.
• Verify machine Cycle times and initiate corrective action where necessary.
• Carry out colour changes / tool changes as required as per the Company's procedures.

Experience required

• Injection/Blow moulding experience (essential)
• Excellent communication skills.
• Customer focused with good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively to tight timescales
• Self-motivated and confident to act on their own initiative whilst working effectively within the organisational team
• A background in Engineering or recognized Engineering qualification is desirable
